Edward B. Hollinger

Interim Head of School

Edward Hollinger joins the Daycroft community with more than thirty years of experience as an educational and community leader. He specializes in transitional leadership; guiding schools and leaders through times of change and transition. Since 2009, Ed has served schools in Virginia, Ohio, Illinois and North Carolina through interim headships. He specializes in executive and leadership development coaching as well as governance guidance to Boards of Directors and administrative teams.

Ed earned a Master’s of Educational Leadership degree from Temple University (PA) and a Certificate in Organizational and Leadership Coaching from the Northwestern University (IL) School of Education and Social Policy. He holds a B.A. in Social Sciences from Trinity College (IL) and a Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Principal’s Certificate.

Michele Buchanan

Director of Oakbrook

Michele has been with Daycroft since 1990. She has taught preschool and kindergarten at our Preprimary School Campus on Oakbrook Drive. She has a B.A. degree in education from Central Michigan University. Michele received her Montessori certification for ages 3 to 6. She lives in Chelsea, Michigan and enjoys spending time with her children, reading, and golfing. Michele is a member of the American Montessori Society and the Michigan Montessori Society.

Lisa Edmondson

Director of Admissions

Lisa is a graduate of Hillsdale College with a B.S. degree in early childhood education. She started her teaching career at Daycroft in 1999, in the kindergarten classroom. She received her Montessori certification in 2001. Lisa then left Daycroft in 2003 to raise her children. The opportunity arose for Lisa to return to Daycroft in 2011, this time teaching preschool, which she loves. Lisa is married with four children. The whole family enjoys watching and playing sports, especially football and basketball.

Greg Palkowski

Director of Finance and Business

Greg has been with Daycroft since December 2008. Previously, he worked for Phoenix Contact / Think & Do Software in Ann Arbor for over 10 years. Greg graduated from Michigan State University with a degree in accounting. He is married with two daughters. He enjoys spending time with his family and is an avid golfer.

Kyndall Burroughs

Advancement Director

Kyndall Burroughs CFRE, brings an extensive background of fundraising and communications experience to the role of Director of Advancement. After graduating from the University of Oklahoma with a degree in Journalism, she taught high school journalism before moving into the non-profit arena. Her career includes positions in advancement at Southwest Christian School, Cook Children's Health Foundation and fourteen years at Fort Worth Country Day School. She most recently led the fundraising and communications efforts as the Director of Development for Child Study Center in Fort Worth, Texas.

Kyndall is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP), Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), and the Association of Donor Relations Professionals (ADRP). She also is active in the community, a sustaining member of the Fort Worth Junior League and a Pi Beta Phi alumna.

Laura Hogan

Zeeb Administrative Assistant

Laura earned her B.A. in French from Western Michigan University. She has had several years of administrative assistant experience in the fields of education and executive recruiting. From 1998 to 2002, Laura was the administrative assistant at Daycroft’s Preprimary Campus. Her two children attended Daycroft from preschool through their middle elementary years. After eleven years as a “stay-at-home” mom and frequent parent volunteer group leader for her children’s sports teams, Laura is happy to return to Daycroft as the administrative assistant at the Elementary Campus on Zeeb Road.

Anne Marie Olbrot

Oakbrook Administrative Assistant

Anne Marie received her BA at Grand Valley State University, with a major in Political Science and minor in Philosophy. Her experience in administrative support includes working as the Executive Assistant to the CEO at the YWCA of Kalamazoo, and Administrative Coordinator at Merit Network. She moved from Kalamazoo to Ann Arbor in 2013, and spends most of her free time cooking or hiking with her husband and daughter.
