Montessori Fundays is a continuing program introducing parents or caregivers and their children ages 18 months to three years to the highly personalized approach to learning at Daycroft Montessori School of Ann Arbor.

On Montessori Fundays, a Daycroft teacher guides your child through introductory lessons using Montessori materials. This gives you a real sense of the Daycroft educational approach in action. You see how learning can be fun and effective when your young child, guided by our teacher, makes choices about what he or she learns.

Daycroft has held Montessori Fundays sessions at our Preprimary Campus on Oakbrook Drive since fall 2010. We recently added a second Fundays venue: My Urban Toddler, the popular play store and event site in Pittsfield Township, near Saline. Learn more »

2 Days per Week for Multiple Weeks – or Single Lessons

Montessori Fundays offer you scheduling options:

  • You may enroll your child for a full series of two lessons per week (Mondays and Wednesdays or Tuesdays and Thursdays) or...
  • You can sign up your child for single lessons – as many lessons as you want, whenever you want.

Cost is $20 per lesson in a multi-week series, or $22 per single lesson.

What schedule of Montessori Fundays sessions will work best for you and your child? Lessons are held from 9:00 to 10:30 at Daycroft’s Preprimary Campus (100 East Oakbrook Drive in Ann Arbor) or from 9:15 to 10:45 am at My Urban Toddler (7025 East Michigan Avenue in Saline). Enrollment is limited to eight children per lesson. Pre-registration is required.

Spring 2013 Fundays
  • Mondays and Wednesdays at Daycroft Oakbrook: Apr 8, 10, 15, 17, 22, 24, 29, May 1, 6, 8, 13, 15, 20, 22, 29 (No school for Memorial Day May 27) Cost: Cost $300 8 weeks (minus Memorial Day)
  • Tuesdays and Thursdays at Daycroft Oakbrook: Apr 9, 11, 16, 18, 23, 25, 30, May 2, 7, 9, 14, 16, 21, 23, 28, 30 Cost: $320 for 8 weeks
  • Fridays at My Urban Toddler: Apr 12, 19, 26, May 3, 10, 17, 31 (No school on Friday, May 24 due to teacher inservice) Cost: $140 for 7 sessions

Early Fall Fundays

  • Mondays and Wednesdays at Daycroft Oakbrook: Sept 4, 9, 11, 16, 18, 23, 25, 30, Oct 2, 9, 14, 16, 21, 23 (No school Oct 7 due to teacher inservice) Cost: $280 for 14 sessions
  • Tuesdays and Thursdays at Daycroft Oakbrook: Sept 3, 5, 10, 12, 17, 19, 24, 26, Oct 1, 3, 8, 10, 15, 17, 22, 24 Cost:$320 for 16 sessions
  • Fridays at My Urban Toddler: Sept 6, 13, 20, 27, Oct 4, 11, 18, 25 Cost: $160 for 8 sessions

Late Fall Fundays

  • Mondays and Wednesdays at Daycroft Oakbrook: Oct 28, 30, Nov 4, 6, 11, 13, 18, 20, 25, Dec 2, 4, 9, 11, 16, 18 (No school Nov 27) Cost: $300 for 15 sessions
  • Tuesdays and Thursdays at Daycroft Oakbrook: Oct 29,31,Nov 5,7,12,14,19,21,26,Dec 3,5,10,12,17,19 (No school Nov 28) Cost: $300 for 15 sessions
  • Fridays at My Urban Toddler: Nov 1, 8, 15, 22, Dec 6, 13, 20 (No school Nov 29) Cost: $140 for 7 sessions
