Daycroft Montessori School Hosts Family Math and Science Fun Night

Daycroft Families Explore Math and Science Concepts through Interactive Activities and Games Presented by the Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum

Ann Arbor, MI (March 23, 2009) – Last Thursday evening, March 19, Daycroft Montessori School of Ann Arbor welcomed students and their parents to an evening of math and science fun presented by the Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum.

Daycroft's Family Math and Science Fun Night happened from 6:30 to 8:00 pm at the school's elementary campus on Zeeb Road. Approximately 150 students and parents attended.

Daycroft students from preschool age through 6th grade explored concepts of math and science through interactive activities and games as they moved from station to station. Younger scientists explored age-appropriate activities in a specially prepared room.

There was no charge for the event, compliments of the Daycroft Parent Guild. Children were welcome to bring friends.

Diane Seeger, head teacher for a Grades 1-2 classroom at Daycroft's elementary school campus on Zeeb Road, guides Daycroft kindergartener Sebastian Adams in understanding the effects of an oil spill.
