Daycroft Montessori School to Sponsor Children’s Activities at Dexter Daze, August 14-15

Ann Arbor, MI (July 29, 2009) – Daycroft Montessori School of Ann Arbor will sponsor fun and engaging children’s activities at Dexter Daze (www.dexterdaze.org), the 37th annual summer festival happening August 14-15, 2009 in the neighboring village of Dexter, Michigan.

In Daycoft’s booth, children will be invited to try their hands at arts and crafts, puzzles and games, and a selection of musical instruments, while sampling the highly involving “works” used in Montessori-style education.

The children’s parents, meanwhile, can meet Daycroft teachers and administrators, ask about preprimary and elementary school at Daycroft, and get a sense of the Daycroft approach to personalized education in action.

Daycroft Montessori School blends the distinctive student-centered teaching methods of Maria Montessori with traditional and progressive teaching methods. Daycroft thus accomplishes its educational mission: to provide a personalized learning environment that appreciates individual differences, nurtures the whole child, and enables students to develop at their own pace and achieve to their full potential.
