Ways to Support Daycroft Montessori School

Independent education thrives because of the generosity of individuals. At Daycroft, significant financial support and active volunteering serve to strengthen the ideals pursued by our students and faculty and to strengthen our position as one of Ann Arbor's leading private schools. We are proud of the involved, philanthropic spirit of the Daycroft community, and we are deeply grateful to all whose support makes our school’s vision a reality.

Volunteering Opportunities

Volunteers are vital to Daycroft’s success. Your contributions of time and talent will greatly enhance the Daycroft experience. Can you offer your efforts and expertise? There are many opportunities to do so:

  • Become part of the Daycroft Parent Guild.
  • Be a classroom volunteer.
  • Present to our students about your career, specialty, or culture.
  • Join and/or chair one of our school’s various committees.
  • Share your special skill or insight on a school project.
  • Serve on our Board of Trustees.
  • Support our annual fundraising auction by donating your time or valuable items.

“As parents who believe strongly in the Montessori method, we feel we cannot do better for our children.”

—Terri and Mark Fisher, parents of Andrew and Brooke

Annual Giving

The funds we raise through Daycroft’s Annual Giving campaign are critical to sustaining our exceptional educational experience. These funds help bridge the gap between tuition revenues and our actual cost of operations.

Gifts to the Annual Giving campaign come from Daycroft board members, staff, alumni, parents, grandparents, and friends. We ask Daycroft parents to give at whatever level they can afford. These donations are tax-deductible.

Endowment for Tuition Assistance

Daycroft’s Endowment for Tuition Assistance enables the school to help with the cost of tuition for families who demonstrate need. The fund is held and managed by The Ann Arbor Area Community Foundation, and gifts are made directly to the foundation. These donations qualify for the State of Michigan tax credit and are deductible on federal tax returns.
