About the Parent Guild

The Daycroft Parent Guild (DPG) is a vibrant part of our Montessori community, offering families meaningful ways to support school life—whether by guiding an event, lending a hand day-of, sharing resources, or connecting us with the wider community. No matter your schedule or skillset, there's a place for you to contribute (click here to complete the DPG Interest Form).

Monthly Meetings will take place the FIRST MONDAY of the MONTH (with just a few exceptions).  We will meet IN-PERSON in the Daycroft School Library.  Meetings will begin at 8:30 a.m. Zoom link will be provided for those who cannot join in person.

🌿 Community Roles for School Events

  • 1. The Guide(Lead Planner / Organizer)
    Much like a Montessori teacher, you gently lead the way—coordinating the vision, guiding the process, and helping others contribute meaningfully to create a harmonious event.

  • 2. The Hands & Heart 🤲 (Hands-On / Event Execution)
    You bring the plan to life with calm, capable energy. You’re present, engaged, and ready to help wherever needed to support a peaceful and successful event experience.

  • 3. The Environment Steward 🌱 (Set Up & Clean Up Crew)
    You help create and restore the event space with care and intention. From preparing the environment to respectfully returning it to order, your touch helps everything feel just right.

  • 4. The Silent Giver 🎁 (Donates Goods, Limited Time)
    Though your time may be limited, your generosity is felt deeply. Your thoughtful contributions—whether snacks, supplies, or support—are an essential part of our shared success.

  • 5. The Community Connector 🕊 (Well-Connected, Happy to Ask for Support)
    You help bridge our school with the broader community. Through conversations, relationships, and a willingness to ask, you invite others to support our mission and events with love.

Daycroft Fall Social Friday, September 19 Time: 5 - 7pm

This event is held on the Daycroft School Campus front lawn. It is a fun event for the entire family. Pizza, water and lawn games are provided. Please RSVP no later than Tuesday, September 16th.

Monster Mash Mid/Late October

Dress your whole family up and come join the Daycroft community for some spooky outdoor games and fun times.

Each year the Parent Guild sponsors a Winter Family Social Event. The 2025 event was held at the Leslie Science & Nature Center, located in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Families enjoyed guided and self-guided hikes, Critter House, Wildlife Presentation, Nature Playscape, Raptor Loop, and s’mores by the fire. Pizza, and drinks were provided.

The Spring Benefit is Daycroft's biggest fundraising and social event of the year. Save the Date for Saturday, March 14th! We look forward to seeing you there!

Each year during Teacher Appreciation Week, the DPG plans several events to show the teachers and staff at Daycroft how much we appreciate them. Last year’s events included an adult book fair, coffee bar, special “favorite things,” catered lunch, and flower bar for all of the teachers and staff.

Field Day is a day to celebrate the end of the school year with fun age-appropriate, organized games on the front lawn or playgrounds. The day culminates with a visit from the fire truck and their fire hose.
