ELEMENTARY PROGRAM

What sets Daycroft apart in the Elementary years is the individually paced curriculum that meets every child’s unique social, emotional and academic needs. Engaging as contributing members of a respectful community, they learn to question, think critically, and take responsibility for their own learning—skills that will support them in later education and in life. Our students learn how to make decisions, solve problems and manage their time.  With progressive Montessori pedagogy as the backbone of our program, students also benefit from additional research-based curriculum and programs, including Writer’s Workshop and multi-sensory reading instruction.

Children develop socially and emotionally in a safe, child-focused atmosphere provided by teachers who are sensitive to their needs.  Our programs develop academic success and emotional intelligence and help them reach their full potential while developing confidence, compassion and a lifelong love of learning.
