    Put on your aprons and get ready for a sweet cooking adventure! We’ll mix, bake, taste and create as we dive into new themes each day while exploring tastes and textures and utilizing our culinary imagination! Through books, cooking, games and collaboration, students will discover how food connects to culture, science, and the world around them! This camp encourages curiosity, experimentation, and collaboration, all while tasting yummy foods and having fun with new friends! The week will be filled with a delicious mix of learning, laughs, and creativity!

    American Girl: The Tradition Continues

    Calling all doll lovers! Get ready for a week of creative fun where you can get messy, make new friends, and create amazing projects for both you and your doll (or stuffed animal)! It’s the ultimate week to let your imagination shine!

    Throughout the week, campers will dive into exciting activities like baking tasty treats, learning the basics of sewing, crafting items for you and your doll, and playing fun games. Whether you're designing sparkly dresses, sewing cute accessories, or having a doll tea party, there's always something fun and creative to do!

    All dolls and stuffed animals are welcome to join the fun, and extra dolls will be provided by the instructor for those who want a new friend to share in the adventure for the week. Join in the Daycroft AG Summer Tradition and make new friends too!

    Gone Fishing!

    Mr. Dave is back by popular demand!

    Learn the basics of fishing including how to tie knots, kinds of lures and how they work, rods and reels, casting, fish identification, characteristics, and the habits of fish.

    Make lures and learn some fly tying too! After practicing casting and fishing safety, we’ll fish for largemouth bass and sunfish in the pond next to the school!

    One of our best camps from the past is back once again to inspire and inform our youth. Heroes come in many forms. Join us for a week of discovery of the heroes around us and what they do every day to help others! Build up your social superpowers and show your appreciation, empathy, and compassion. Gain insight into the world around us and discover your own superpowers and what you can do to help others! Make blankets for animals at the shelter, write letters to veterans, make treats for our local firefighters, and organize and participate in helping our neighbors with food scarcity. Learn to be the change you’d like to see in others!

Students will explore jazz, tap, ballet, hip hop, and more using creative movement and joyful self-expression. Each day opens a new story, inviting children to travel across cultures and styles through movement and imagination.     Come dive into two weeks of pottery fun! Campers will begin by brainstorming what they would like to make. Pieces from the instructor’s pottery collection along with a slew of pottery books will be brought in for inspiration.

    During the first week, campers will devote their time to working with wet clay to build pieces using coils, slabs and pinched forms. During the second week, our artists will glaze their work and help load it back into the kiln for a glaze firing.

    By being immersed in this creative process, much will be learned about the possibilities of clay, altered forms, pottery tools and glazing techniques.

    By being immersed in this creative process, much will be learned about the possibilities of clay, altered forms, pottery tools and glazing techniques.

The week culminates in a USCF-rated tournament, providing a real-world test of your newfound skills.

    Beyond our daily chess play, we’ll enjoy an array of fun outdoor games designed to refresh and inspire.

    All participants are required to secure a $20 USCF membership, ensuring their official rating upon camp completion - to be paid directly to Coach Bryan on the first day of camp.

Cardboard Creations invites young builders to unleash their inner architect and engineer using one surprisingly magical material…cardboard! With curiosity as their compass, students will explore how form, function, and creativity come together as they design and build wearable creations, playful animals, or so much more. Guided through the engineering design process, campers will imagine, sketch, tinker, test, and construct full-scale projects using cardboard, simple tools, and the kid-safe ChompSaw - made just for kid-friendly cardboard crafting.

    With only a few materials and a whole lot of imagination, campers will develop problem-solving and design skills while bringing bold ideas to life. From fancy hats to rolling vehicles or interactive games, every cardboard creation tells a story of innovation, ingenuity, and hands-on fun!

    All Aboard the Hogwarts Express! Designed for young enchanter enthusiasts, come dive into the fascinating world of Harry Potter! Campers will craft magical wands, brew ‘potions’ using safe ingredients, and participate in ‘house’-themed challenges that bring favorite wizardry stories to life. Young wizards-in-training will explore their creativity by designing magical creatures, creating enchanted maps, and discovering the imaginative elements that make these beloved stories so captivating. Campers will participate in wizard-themed games, learn about the literary elements behind magical storytelling, and develop friendship bonds through collaborative mystical challenges! We will empower scholars with a deeper appreciation for fantasy literature while encouraging teamwork, creative thinking, and the magic that happens when imagination is given room to flourish. Please Note: This is a hands-on, literature-inspired creative camp for students focused on crafts and games, not a reading-intensive book club

Refund Policy

There will be no refunds after May 1, 2026; instead, a credit will be given towards another 2026 camp if space is available.
To cancel a summer camp by May 1st, please email Michele McGrath at michelem@daycroft.org
Please include the week you would like to cancel and the name of the camp and camper.
Refunds will be given for camp registration fees only - credit card fees & notated material fees are non-refundable.
